65 degrees and sunny. Wes Montgomery plays out of my computer speakers...

I've recently  realized what was missing from my career. I needed to take more risks, walk on the other side of the road, turn rather than walk the same line. Yes, I know there may be more falls along the way, but in the end, there will be much reward for the client and myself.

Things began to come together during the engagement campaign photo shoot with my latest clients, Ariana and Thomas--the style, the mood, the setting--everything turned out how it was in my mind before the shoot. For a photographer, this is when true bliss happens. I now have began to walk on the other side of the road, the road that leads to more hard-work and creating timeless images. Not that I wasn't working hard before, but I wasn't pushing myself to the edge and wasn't always willing to jump.

I've changed my shoes and I'm now ready to walk up the hill and get to the top no matter how long it takes. I have always loved creating cinematic images that capture a story. The true reward is seeing a couple see their photos for the first time. Couples who share my love of cinema and style are the happiest clients of all. I've come to realize, I'm not the photographer for everyone, but for the ones who choose me, there is symbiotic relationship that allows for beautiful images to unfold... Stay tuned

San Francisco, CA, Windy and 55 degrees

It was supposed to rain and yet the sun broke through, providing the perfect blend of light. Sometimes things just fall into place. This is where Ariana and Thomas come into play. They have chosen me to photograph their wedding in September in San Francisco. The moment that I met them, I was taken by their ability to be super organized and laid back at the same time; their excitement for the big day was contagious.  From the moment I met them, I really wanted to photograph their wedding. Their ideas and brand were old Hollywood style. This is the type of wedding that I love to photograph. I grew up watching classic movies and so this style is my love.

Their "Engagement Campaign" was just splendid. They were dressed very smart, with bright colors and the settings were just divine. They were up for anything, and they allowed me to take chances along the way. What made it all come together was that they were true to who they are, which is an amazing couple. Can't wait to photograph the big day.

Unbelievable. I am very interested in having you shoot our wedding. I will call you with my fiancé to set up details. I am so excited to have found you online. Your style is just what we have been looking for.

Los Angeles 52 degrees, a bit cold but the sun still found its way out just enough for me to photograph a young and very talented singer and songwriter from the band Thirstbusters

What fun it was to capture Zach, from the band Thirstbusters, in a very relaxed vibe on the streets of Los Angeles. It was an impromptu session, since I was attending a workshop by Peter Hurley our of New York. Unfortunately, the rest of the band wasn't around but I feel Zach rocked it out displaying heart and soul of the rest of the band. The band recently released the video for "So There," which went on to great critical acclaim and caught the attention of the folks at Disney who featured the video on their Disney XD channel. Be on the lookout for the Thirstbusters, as they will one day soon make big sound on your radio dial.

Thanks Zach for the fun portrait session and best to you and your band...

San Fransisco 62 degrees
It was one of those perfect Sundays in San Francisco, where the weather was just right: no wind, just sunshine. And to boot, I actually found parking! It was a modern San Francisco miracle.

The mood of the bridal party was also perfect. Scott had a cool, calm, and collected "George Cloony" aura about him, and Angie was giddy in anticipation. They, along with their bridesmaids and groomsmen were so laid back--there was lots of laughter from everyone. The wedding went along with out a hiccup.  It was one of those weddings that had a perfect flow to it throughout the day.

During the reception, which was held at The City Club San Francisco,
I pulled out the Fashion Box and it was a pure hit.  I love it when the guests just let their hair down and ham it up for the camera.

I was so happy for Angie and Scott. As one can see, they really care for one another and they both have patience in their souls. Angie & Scott, thank you for letting me be a part of your special day.
